Dr. Brooks Kuhn, Associate Professor of Medicine at UC-Davis, is a nationally recognized leader in advancing Alpha-1 detection. He is leading the development of an AATD Detection Playbook, created in collaboration with the Alpha-1 Foundation and AlphaDetect, to provide clinicians with practical tools, templates, and best practices for enhancing testing and follow-up.
Dr. Kuhn also collaborates with Epic leadership to design national detection strategies that use health IT systems and AI to identify at-risk patients earlier. His work reflects a deep commitment to innovation, education, and ensuring no patient with Alpha-1 goes undetected.
